Ruins of castles and towers testify to its splendour in the Middle Ages, when it was surrounded and defended by walls and fortifications.<br \/>The most important building in Maiori is the church of Santa Maria a Mare.<br \/>But Maiori also offers a splendid crystal-clear sea in which to immerse oneself, and it is worth visiting the Sulphurous Cave and the Pandora Cave.
